CE Requirements
IN 1974 THE CALIFORNIA STATE LEGISLATURE MANDATED THAT DENTISITS MUST COMPLETE 50 HOURS (AND DENTAL HYGIENISTS 25 HOURS), OF CONTINUING EDUCATION EVERY TWO YEARS FOR RELICENSURE.
A dentist licensed in 1974 would have to have completed 850 hours of continuing education when he or she was re-licenced in 2008.
Since 1963 I have completed approximately 6000 hours.
